What Makes Olive Branch Fellowship Different?

Many people who visit Olive Branch Fellowship notice that our congregation may look a little different from what they have experienced in other churches. While we share the same foundation of faith in the Messiah and the authority of Scripture, we also seek to practice our faith in ways that reflect the whole Bible—from Genesis through Revelation.
Our goal is not to be different for the sake of being different. Our desire is simply to follow the Scriptures as faithfully as possible.

A Whole-Bible Faith
At Olive Branch Fellowship, we believe the entire Bible is the Word of God. The teachings of the Torah, the Prophets, and the New Testament together reveal God's plan of redemption through the Messiah.
Because of this, we seek to study and apply the full counsel of Scripture rather than separating the Old and New Testaments.

The Sabbath
Unlike many churches that meet on Sunday, we gather for worship on the seventh-day Sabbath (Saturday) as described in Scripture.
The Sabbath begins at sunset on Friday and ends at sunset on Saturday. It is a time for rest, worship, prayer, and fellowship with other believers.

The Biblical Feasts
We observe the biblical holidays appointed by the Lord in Scripture. These festivals remind us of God's faithfulness throughout history and reveal important aspects of His redemptive plan.
The appointed festivals include:
-
The Sabbath
-
Passover (Pesach) and the Feast of Unleavened Bread
-
Pentecost (Shavuot)
-
Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah)
-
Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)
-
Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot)
We also observe the historical memorials recorded in Scripture:
-
Purim
-
The Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah)
These celebrations serve as memorials of God's deliverance and faithfulness to His people throughout history.

A Focus on Obedience
We believe that faith in the Messiah leads to a life that desires to honor God through obedience to His Word.
Obedience to God's commandments is not about earning salvation but about expressing our love for God and walking in His ways.

A Welcoming Community
Many people who visit Olive Branch Fellowship are exploring the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith or seeking a deeper understanding of Scripture. Others simply desire to worship God in a community that values the whole Bible.
